English singer/songwriter Howard Jones is best known for a string of hits between 1983 and 1992 including “New Song,” “What Is Love?” and “Things Can Only Get Better.”

The English Beat is a ska revival band founded in England in 1978 and is known for fusing ska, pop, soul, reggae and punk rock with such ’80s favorites as “Mirror In The Bathroom,” “I Confess” and their cover of the Smokey Robinson & The Miracles hit “Tears of a Clown.”

Canadian pop group Men Without Hats is best known for their Top 10 hits “The Safety Dance” and “Pop Goes The World.”

“I Melt With You” cemented Modern English’s place in pop music history along with follow-up singles “Ink & Paper” and “Hands Across The Sea.”

English sensation Paul Young achieved success with his seminal singles “Everytime You Go Away” and “Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home).”

Katrina of Katrina & The Waves crashed onto the pop charts with their hit “Walking on Sunshine.” The group also won the 1997 the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Love Shine a Light.”
